ANITA Mission Statement
The aims of ANITA are to facilitate theoretical astrophysics meetings, encourage nationwide
collaboration, foster international links, encourage closer links between all branches
of astrophysics research, and provide input into national policy.
The ANITA mission statement is to:
- support development of the theoretical astrophysics community in Australia
by facilitating communication and collaboration between theorists and providing
a focus for the community;
- raise the national profile of theoretical astrophysics, and raise the international
profile of Australian theoretical astrophysics; and
- promote linkage with the national astronomical community by assisting in the
theoretical interpretation of observations; providing motivation for new
observational programmes; and increasing scientific return from national investment in
observational infrastructure.
